If you want to see a historic fort without traveling on a ferry, this is the one to see when visiting Charleston! Has a great back story as well!

This is one of my favorite National Historic sites. Exhibits covering our history from the Revolutionary War through World War II.

If your bring in your own flag or buy one in the gift shop you can have it flown at either Fort Moultrie or Fort Sumter.

There is a visitors Centre and the outdoor museum. Both sites closes at five and it takes about 1.5 hours to see.

Photo Tip: Use a tripod and long exposures rather than a flash to get great interior photos, but be mindful of the other visitors walking around.

Great place to visit. Walk out to the shoreline, you might get lucky and see some dolphins.
