Oldest state park in Washington! Easy to see why. Beautiful sound views, gorgeous forest and lakes, interesting geological formations. Good trails and picnic areas, too.

I love going here to see the tide pools, and they have a really clean camping area, conveniently close to Fairhaven shopping area. The short hikes are pleasant and have great views of the sound.

Don't believe the park ranger propaganda, there are NO racoons here.

Site 38 has a small creek that runs right next to it. Really nice acoustics when it gets quiet. A smaller site, but a good one.
