Perfect educational day trip, not too depressing. Heifer does a lot of good in the world, and the gift shop is very eclectic. Tours of the energy efficient building are available Monday-Saturday.

Iconic building in the East of 30 area. Great for medium sized retreats and conferences in addition to the exhibits. Food is excellent at the café.
