A must if you're in the area. This pub is over 300 years old. It has such character, and friendly bar staff and patrons.

Popular 16th century pub with amazing views. Made famous through the book 'Cider with Rosie'. Great real ales.

This is a proper pub, open fires, small and friendly. Great real ales on tap, try the Uley Pig's Ear. Also the food is *really* good - not just nice, fantastic.

@Neil C: Nothing can be 'one of the most unique'. It's either unique or it isn't.The Woolpack is far from 'completely unchanged'. It's been extensively altered but often so subtly you don't notice.

One of the most unique pubs in Britain. As featured in Cider With Rosie, it remains completely unchanged. But the pear cider is totally undrinkable- I think it's the same barrel as Laurie Lee drank

The Mussels are delicious, as is the smoked salmon. The Buscombe bitter and Stowford Press cider are outstanding as well.
