Nice food, but very overpriced. £16.50 for gammon, egg and chips and £15 for fish and chips is too much. Lighting a few candles on the mantlepieces doesn't justify the prices

Very good friendly service. Food portions are large! Great atmosphere. So popular that at busy times you are best advised to call and reserve a table or you'll probably find none available.

Historic pub with several distinct areas for drinking and dining. Home to the Very INNformal brewery. Great real ales.

Good ales, good food - But at a price. However, 'good' doesn't necessarily come cheap, you get what you pay for.
