The castle might be a ruin, but the chapel, priest house, and crypt are all intact. This is the ancestral home of the first speaker in the Houses of Parliament. The free audio guide is fascinating.

Impressive remains of a 14th century fortified mansion. The Hungerford family had a chequered history with many executed. Run by English heritage.
