Prešernov trg
Prešeren Square (Slovene: Prešernov trg) is the central square in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It is a major meeting point in Ljubljana, where concerts, sport events, political events and other types of events take place. It is named after France Prešeren, a famous Slovenian poet.

The central of the three bridges forming the Triple Bridge has stood in its place since 1842, when it replaced an old, strategically important medieval wooden bridge. The side bridges, intended for pedestrians, were added to the original stone bridge to a design by the architect Jože Plečnik.

Congress Square (Slovene: Kongresni trg), one of the central squares in Ljubljana, was built in 1821 at the site of the ruins of a medieval Capuchin monastery. The square was used for ceremonial purposes during the Congress of Ljubljana, after which it was named. Renewed in 2011.
