Rome : l'imbrication de l'antiquité et de la modernité
La Rome moderne est la capitale de l'Italie, un centre culturel, économique et touristique majeur.
Dans l'Antiquité, la ville était le cœur d'un immense empire qui englobait toute la Méditerranée et une partie de l'Asie. C'est pourquoi la carte de Rome est un entrelacement et une fusion de monuments architecturaux.Dans la ville il y a des lieux d'intérêt qui appartiennent à différentes périodes historiques : l'antiquité, le Moyen Âge, la renaissance, les bâtiments modernes. Il vaut la peine de visiter le centre de l'ancien Forum romain, les ruines d'anciens temples, bains et autres structures, parfaitement conservés à ce jour, le Colisée et le Panthéon. D'autres endroits populaires dans la ville incluent : Castel Sant'Angelo, Basilique Saint-Pierre, Piazza di Spagna et Piazza Navona, Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi et la fontaine de Trevi. Notons que les églises, cathédrales et autres édifices religieux de Rome totalisent à eux seuls plus de 900 sites. Il vous faudra plusieurs jours et le guide de la ville pour faire le tour de la ville.Le transport de Rome est un vaste réseau de lignes de bus et de tramway, ainsi qu'une ligne de trolleybus depuis la gare Termini. Le développement du métro dans la ville est limité en raison du grand nombre de monuments architecturaux et de fouilles, dont la sécurité sera menacée par la construction souterraine. A ce jour, seules quelques lignes de métro fonctionnent à Rome.
